Alternative possibility of GW190521: Gravitational waves from high-mass black hole-disk systems

چکیده
We evolve high-mass disks of mass $15$-$50M_\odot$ orbiting a $50M_\odot$ spinning black hole in the framework numerical relativity. Such systems could be an outcome during collapse rapidly-rotating very-massive stars. The massive are dynamically unstable to so-called one-armed spiral-shape deformation with maximum fractional density-perturbation $\delta \rho/\rho \gtrsim 0.1$, and hence, high-amplitude gravitational waves emitted. waveforms characterized by initial burst frequency $\sim 40$-$50$ Hz amplitude $(1$-$10)\times 10^{-22}$ at hypothetical distance 100 Mpc subsequent low-amplitude quasi-periodic oscillation. illustrate that our models wide range disk resemble GW190521. also point out from stars can source for 3rd-generation gravitational-wave detectors exploring formation process rapidly-spinning holes 50$-$100M_\odot$ early universe.

Gravitational waves from eccentric intermediate mass binary black hole mergers
Owing to the difficulty of direct observation, mergers of intermediate-mass black hole binaries are relatively less understood compared to stellar-mass binaries; however, the gravitational waves from their last few orbits and ringdown fall in the band of ground-based detectors. Because the typical source is expected to circularize prior to entering LIGO or VIRGO’s range, inspiral searches conce...
متن کاملObservation of Gravitational Waves from a Binary Black Hole Merger
This cataclysmic event, producing the gravitational-wave signal GW150914, took place in a distant galaxy more than one billion light years from the Earth. It was observed on September 14, 2015 by the two detectors of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO), arguably the most sensitive scientific instruments ever constructed. LIGO estimated that the peak gravitational-wave...

متن کاملObservation of Gravitational Waves from a Binary Black Hole Merger.
On September 14, 2015 at 09:50:45 UTC the two detectors of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory simultaneously observed a transient gravitational-wave signal. The signal sweeps upwards in frequency from 35 to 250 Hz with a peak gravitational-wave strain of 1.0×10(-21). It matches the waveform predicted by general relativity for the inspiral and merger of a pair of black holes...
متن کاملGravitational waves from black hole collisions via an eclectic approach
We present the first results in a new program intended to make the best use of all available technologies to provide an effective understanding of waves from inspiralling black hole binaries in time to assist imminent observations. In particular, we address the problem of combining the close-limit approximation describing ringing black holes and full numerical relativity, required for essential...
